Racing in the NT League

Clean and Fair Racing

Clean and fair racing is expected at all times.

Any driver who causes contact or drives in an unsafe or aggressive manner may be penalised.

Drivers must respect the racing line of other drivers and avoid making sudden moves that could cause an incident.

Overtaking

Overtaking should be done cleanly and without contact.

The driver attempting to overtake should make their intentions clear and move alongside the other driver before making the move.

The overtaking driver is responsible for ensuring that they have enough room to complete the pass.

The driver being overtaken should give the overtaking driver enough room and should not impede their progress.

Defending

Drivers are allowed to defend their position, but they should do so in a safe and respectful manner.

A driver is allowed to make one move to defend their position, but they cannot make any further moves that could be considered blocking.

If a driver moves in reaction to the movements of the car behind them, this will be considered blocking.

Contact

Any contact between cars may be reviewed by the league officials.

Drivers who make contact with other drivers may be penalised, depending on the severity of the incident.

Any driver who causes an incident that results in another driver being forced off the track or losing positions may be given a penalty.

Blue Flags

When a driver is being lapped by another driver, they must give way to the faster driver.

The driver being lapped should move off the racing line and allow the faster driver to pass safely.

The blue flag will be shown to the driver being lapped to indicate that they should give way to the faster driver.

Do not fight to unlap yourself.

Giving Way to Higher Class Vehicles

In multi-class races, drivers in lower classes must give way to drivers in higher classes when being lapped.

The same rules for blue flags apply, and the driver in the lower class should move off the racing line to allow the higher class driver to pass safely.

It is the responsibility of the higher class driver to make a safe and clean pass, without causing contact or impeding the progress of the lower class driver.

Turn 1 Etiquette

Drivers should exercise caution and avoid making any sudden moves or aggressive manoeuvres in turn 1.

It is important for drivers to give each other enough room to navigate the turn safely.

Any driver who causes contact or a collision in turn 1 may be penalised.

Warning System

Please note for any incidents deemed to be dangerous driving we'll be running a warning system.

3 incidents in which you're deemed at fault will result in a points deduction depending on severity of the incidents.

5 accidents deemed to be your fault or intentional will trigger a race ban & reset the counter back to 0

Anyone deemed to be purposely causing hovac in the league or ruining others races will be banned instantly & not allowed to return Being overly aggressive into turn 1 is always a bad idea during a 1 hour endurance race so please be mindful

Respect ALL flags including blue, if a blue flag is waved for you please move out of the way when safe to do so. This minimises crashes

During qualifying please DO NOT race eachother, ruining eachothers qualifying laps will only lead to issues so allow gaps in the field

Please realise not everyone is A+ rated & may need extra time to improve their driving over a season or at a track. Please be patient & encourage eachother instead of discouraging & slamming each other

We understand that connection issues can sometimes be a culprit in incidents so will be as fair as possible over any incidents & will call upon outsiders to judge as well if needs be such as who also helps run this league

If an incident is deemed as a penalty please move on & come back stronger, we won't tolerate any hate or bad will towards any league drivers.

Cool your head & realise we're all here for the love of racing as a community, No matter what happens on track we're friends first & a community which is always more important than your pride & ego
